One short day in the Emerald City...

So a few weeks ago, I was invited to a fairytale party by a friend. I knew everyone and their mother was going to dress up like a princess of some sort, so I opted to be different, and there was this witch outfit at Discord I had been eyeing for some time... Naturally I had to choose a black costume to match my black, evil heart. :)

Can I just tell you how much I love Discord? the outfits are not bad quality at all, and every one is 99L! As a matter of fact, this entire look was built off of bargains (minus the shoes, they're Redgrave but made of awesome so its no big). The skin was only 100L! It came from the incomparable ZsaZsa's House of Beauty. It's a drag queen store, so you'd expect the make-ups to be gawdy and horrible, but if you put them on your feminine shape they actually look REALLY pretty in a couture kind of way. I bought like... six. And the jewelry were freebies too!

I could go on and on with the fun I had with this outfit, but considering there is vastly more to talk about with this post, I figured I'd get to the point. At this party (where my costume went over very well, thank you), my friends kept referring to me as 'Elphaba,' which we all know is the Wicked Witch's real name according to 'Wicked.' And that got me to thinking... I SHOULD TOTALLY PUT LOOKS TOGETHER FOR THE OTHER OZ GIRLS!

For Dorothy, I went more modern, like she was a party girl that happened to wake up in Oz one day, so I put her in the 'Ashton Marie Party Dress' from Pink Outfitters. I didn't buy the dress specifically for this idea, I bought it because I love powder blue and white as a color pairing and this dress was funky and young. I was wracking my brain for some idea to come to me as to what my Dorothy would wear and found this in my 'dress' folder and was like 'YES!' And for the trademark Ruby Slippers, I used Maitreya's Verve Pumps in red, since they seem to be the hot shoe at the moment (seriously, everybody has them).

And then there is what would have to be my favorite outfit, my Glinda.

Again, the dress is from Pink Outfitters, bought at the same time as the Ashton Marie because I'm a sucker for a good dress. I paired it with my Juicy shoes that I wear EVERYWHERE. But those really arent the stars of this piece.

While playing around the 'Magic of Oz' sim scouting for locations, I discovered a shop by Ms. Violet Voltaire and was instantly charmed. Her jewelry reminds my of real-life designer Tarina Tarantino, because they both share the love of pink, candy, and hearts and make beautiful porcelain pieces. She had everything I needed and then some at her mainstore (and she stopped by to visit her shoppers while I was there! She's so nice!). I'm particularly in love with the crown, aren't you?
